{"id":1100,"date":"2017-11-16T19:12:51","date_gmt":"2017-11-16T18:12:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paneuropa.at\/?p=1100"},"modified":"2017-11-16T19:12:51","modified_gmt":"2017-11-16T18:12:51","slug":"paneuropa-oesterreich-begruesst-neue-eu-verteidigungsunion-pesco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pan.thatscommunication.de\/en\/paneuropa-oesterreich-begruesst-neue-eu-verteidigungsunion-pesco\/","title":{"rendered":"Paneuropa \u00d6sterreich begr\u00fc\u00dft neue EU-Verteidigungsunion PESCO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Paneuropa \u00d6sterreich begr\u00fc\u00dft neue EU-Verteidigungsunion PESCO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Angesichts neuer Bedrohungen von au\u00dfen ist eine gemeinsame Europ\u00e4ische Verteidigungs-und Sicherheitsstrategie notwendig!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Am Montag unterzeichneten die Au\u00dfen \u2013 und Verteidigungsminister von 23 EU-Staaten, unter anderem auch aus \u00d6sterreich, die neue Sicherheits \u2013 und Verteidigungsstrategie der Europ\u00e4ischen Union, genannt PESCO (Permanent Structured Cooperation).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Karl von Habsburg, Pr\u00e4sident der Paneuropabewegung \u00d6sterreich, begr\u00fc\u00dft den Schritt: \u201eSicherheit und Verteidigung ist eine Aufgabe, die auf europ\u00e4ischer Ebene behandelt werden muss.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Europas Sicherheit ist mit neuen Herausforderungen konfrontiert, zum Beispiel Cyberattacken, hybrider Kriegsf\u00fchrung oder Online-Desinformationskampagnen, aber auch echten milit\u00e4rischen Bedrohungen, wie der Krieg in der Ostukraine zeigt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eDie Politik der USA sowie der Angriff Russlands auf die souver\u00e4ne Ukraine bieten Europa nun die Chance, sich selber um seine Sicherheit zu k\u00fcmmern\u201c, so von Habsburg.<\/p>\n<p>PESCO ist keine Verteidigungsunion im eigentlichen Sinne sondern b\u00fcndelt nationale M\u00f6glichkeiten im Bereich der Sicherheit und Verteidigung. \u00d6sterreich partizipiert im Rahmen der Neutralit\u00e4t, f\u00fcnf Staaten nehmen aktuell noch nicht daran teil. Alle EU-Staaten zusammen haben ein h\u00f6heres Verteidigungsbudget als die USA aber nur die H\u00e4lfte der Effizienz. Eine Vernetzung ist also nicht nur politisch sinnvoll sondern auch budget\u00e4r.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eDie Angriffe auf das\u00a0 rechtsstaatliche und demokratische Europa durch au\u00dfereurop\u00e4ische M\u00e4chte, denen das freie Europa ein Dorn im Auge ist, werden vor allem online mehr\u201c, betont Stefan Hab\u00f6ck, der Internationale Referent der Paneuropabewegung \u00d6sterreich und betont, dass \u201eEuropa hier enger zusammenarbeiten m\u00fcsse.
