Aufgrund der aktuellen Spannungen zwischen Bulgarien und Nordmazedonien, die zu einer Blockade der Beitrittsverhandlungen f\u00fchren k\u00f6nnen, haben Paneuropa Bulgarien<\/a>\u00a0und Paneuropa Nordmazedonien eine gemeinsame Erkl\u00e4rung an ihre jeweiligen Regierungen abgegeben.<\/em><\/p>\n

Wir fordern die Regierungen von Bulgarien und Nord-Mazedonien auf, in gutem Glauben die bilateralen Fragen zu l\u00f6sen.<\/p>\n

Seit seiner Gr\u00fcndung im Jahr 1922 f\u00f6rdert Paneuropa die Einigung Europas. Heute setzen wir unsere Mission fort, indem wir durch die Integration der Westbalkanl\u00e4nder in die EU diesen Prozess vorantreiben.<\/p>\n

Wir begr\u00fc\u00dfen die Entscheidung des Europ\u00e4ischen Rates vom M\u00e4rz 2020, Beitrittsverhandlungen mit Nordmakedonien und Albanien aufzunehmen. Bulgarien als Mitgliedstaat unterst\u00fctzte diese \u00dcbereinkunft. Die gutnachbarlichen Beziehungen und die regionale Zusammenarbeit bleiben wichtige Elemente des Erweiterungsprozesses. Dar\u00fcber hinaus erinnern wir an die ma\u00dfgebliche Rolle Bulgariens, das 2018 die EU-Ratspr\u00e4sidentschaft innehatte, als die Westbalkanstaaten wieder auf die europ\u00e4ische Tagesordnung gesetzt wurden.<\/p>\n

Wir begr\u00fc\u00dfen auch die von Nord-Mazedonien bewiesene Entschlossenheit, die EU-Reformagenda durch die Erf\u00fcllung der Bedingungen f\u00fcr die Aufnahme von Beitrittsverhandlungen umzusetzen. In Anbetracht dessen sind wir der Ansicht, dass die unterschiedlichen Ansichten zur Vergangenheit der beiden L\u00e4nder kein Hindernis f\u00fcr ihre gemeinsame europ\u00e4ische Zukunft darstellen sollten.<\/p>\n

Die beiderseitigen guten nachbarschaftlichen Beziehungen zwischen Bulgarien und Nord-Mazedonien sollten auf der Grundlage von gegenseitigem Vertrauen, Respekt, wirtschaftlicher Entwicklung, kulturellem Austausch und gegenseitigem Verst\u00e4ndnis ausgebaut werden, aber auch auf dem unbestrittenen Selbstbestimmungsrecht, sowie auf den Grunds\u00e4tzen und Werten der EU.<\/p>\n

Wir unterst\u00fctzen uneingeschr\u00e4nkt aktive Ma\u00dfnahmen, um die bulgarische und die mazedonische Nation n\u00e4her zusammenzubringen und negative Rhetorik zu vermeiden, die in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten verwendet wurde und bedauerlicherweise zu Spaltungen in unseren Beziehungen f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n

Wir sind \u00fcberzeugt, dass mit dem weiteren Fortschritt des EU-Integrationsprozesses in Nordmakedonien \u2013 mit Unterst\u00fctzung und Betreuung von Bulgarien \u2013 die Verbindungen zwischen den beiden Nationen noch st\u00e4rker werden und das Gef\u00fchl des europ\u00e4ischen Geistes des gegenseitigen Verst\u00e4ndnisses und der Zusammenarbeit in den Beziehungen zwischen den beiden L\u00e4ndern gest\u00e4rkt wird.<\/p>\n

WE URGE THE GOVERNMENTS OF BULGARIA AND N. MACEDONIA\u00a0TO RESOLVE IN GOOD FAITH BILATERAL ISSUES<\/p>\n

Since its foundation in 1922 Pan-Europa has been promoting the unification of Europe. Today we continue our mission by enhancing the completion of this process \u2013 the integration of the Western Balkan countries into the EU.<\/p>\n

We welcome the decision of the Council of the EU of March 2020, approved by the European Council, to open accession negotiation with the N. Macedonia and Albania. Bulgaria as a Member State supported the consensus with the understanding that good neighbourly relations and regional cooperation remain important elements of the enlargement process. Moreover, we recall the instrumental role of Bulgaria holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2018 to bring back enlargement to the WB on the European agenda.<\/p>\n

We also welcome the determination, demonstrated by N. Macedonia, to deliver on the EU reform agenda, by the fulfilment of the conditions for opening accession negotiations.<\/p>\n

In view of the above, we believe that the different views on the past history of the two countries should not be an obstacle for their common European future.<\/p>\n

In this regard we urge the governments and institutions of Bulgaria and N. Macedonia to continue with the communication in good faith and overcome any obstacles that might hinder progress of N. Macedonia towards our shared European future.<\/p>\n

The two sided good neighbouring relations between Bulgaria and N. Macedonia should be built on the basis of mutual trust, respect, economic development, cultural exchange and understanding of each other, but, as well, on the undisputed right of self-determination, and the EU principles and values.<\/p>\n

We fully support active measures, bringing the Bulgarian and Macedonian nation closer together, avoiding negative rhetoric that has been in use in the past decades bringing regrettably divisions in our relationship.<\/p>\n

We are convinced that with the progressive advance of EU integration process of N. Macedonia with support and mentorship by Bulgaria, the connections between the two nations will grow even stronger, and that will bring reinforced feeling of the European spirit of mutual understanding and cooperation, in the relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
