(Find english version below.)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Was Beobachter lange erwartet haben, ist eingetreten. Der russische Pr\u00e4sident Vladimir Putin hat nach einer Aufforderung durch die Duma \u2013 auch kriegstreibende Diktatoren h\u00e4ngen sich gerne das M\u00e4ntelchen der lupenreinen Demokratie um \u2013 die Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit der beiden ukrainischen Gebiete Donezk und Luhansk anerkannt, und schickt nun ganz offiziell Truppen in diese Gebiete. Wer die Karte der Ukraine kennt wei\u00df, dass mit diesen beiden Gebieten weit mehr gemeint ist, als der von russischen S\u00f6ldnern besetze Teil der Ostukraine. Die Taktik ist aus vielen anderen russischen Aggressionen (beispielsweise Georgien 2008) bekannt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Putin kann nat\u00fcrlich aus den bisherigen Erfahrungen damit rechnen, dass die freie Welt nur mit Worth\u00fclsen auf seinen Krieg reagiert. Das w\u00e4re die Einladung an ihn, seine Panzer weiter in die Ukraine vorr\u00fccken zu lassen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hektische Politikerreisen nach Moskau erlauben es dem russischen Pr\u00e4sidenten \u00fcber seine Propagandamedien der russischen Bev\u00f6lkerung zu zeigen, dass ihr Land wieder eine Weltmacht ist, und dass er, Putin, der Mann ist, der diese Leistung vollbracht hat. Alle reden sie mit ihm, wie zu Zeiten des Kalten Krieges, als auch die UdSSR eine Weltmacht war.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Die EU ist nun aufgefordert au\u00dfenpolitische Handlungsf\u00e4higkeit zu beweisen. Dazu braucht es gezielte Sanktionen die direkt auf den russischen Pr\u00e4sidenten und sein direktes Umfeld, das diesen Krieg verursacht, zielen. Sie alle haben ihre Villen in Europa, ihre Konten auf westlichen Banken, ihre Yachten in westlichen Gew\u00e4ssern, und ihre Gesch\u00e4fte in der freien Welt. Von diesem Luxus m\u00fcssen sie abgeschnitten werden. Ehemals f\u00fchrende Politiker westlicher Staaten, die f\u00fcr russische Unternehmen t\u00e4tig sind, sollten jetzt den Anstand besitzen, ihre T\u00e4tigkeit f\u00fcr das System Putin zu beenden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Die Ukraine selbst ist bereit sich zu verteidigen. Dazu braucht das Land aber Unterst\u00fctzung aus der EU, und zwar ganz konkret milit\u00e4risches Ger\u00e4t, also Waffen, die die Verteidigungsf\u00e4higkeit steigern. Denn \u00fcber eines m\u00fcssen wir uns im Klaren sein: Die Ukraine verteidigt nicht nur ihre eigene Freiheit, sie verteidigt auch die Freiheit Europas.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Ukraine defends the freedom of Europe<\/h3>\n<p>The EU must now prove that it has the ability to act in foreign policy. Following a request from the Duma \u2013 even dictators like to act as if there were a democracy \u2013 Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the independence of the two Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk and is now officially sending troops to these regions. Anyone familiar with the map of Ukraine knows that these two areas mean far more than the part of eastern Ukraine occupied by Russian mercenaries. The tactic is known from many other Russian invasions (e.g. Georgia 2008).<\/p>\n<p>Based on past experience, Putin can of course expect that the free world will only react to his war with empty words. That would be like an invitation to let his tanks\u00a0 advance further into Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Frantic political trips to Moscow allow the Russian President, through his propaganda media, to show the Russian people that their country is once again a world power and that he, Putin, is the man who accomplished this feat. They all talk to him like they did during the Cold War, when the USSR was also a world power.<\/p>\n<p>The EU is now called upon to demonstrate its ability to act in foreign policy. This requires targeted sanctions aimed directly at the Russian President and his immediate environment, which is causing this war. They all have their mansions in Europe, their accounts in western banks, their yachts in western waters, and their businesses in the free world. They must be cut off from these luxuries. Former Western leaders who work for Russian companies should now have the decency to resign from the Putin system.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine itself is ready to defend itself. To do this, however, the country needs support from the EU, specifically military equipment, i.e. weapons that increase its defense capability.
