“Reading, writing, arithmetic, basic manners” \u2013 when asked what skills would be needed for the future job market, yesterday’s panel discussion “Lost Generation or anything possible?”<\/a> received a clear answer from Karl Nehammer<\/a>. To master the future, we need to ease the burden on labour, make the job market more flexible, and above all, have courage. <\/em><\/div>\n

Lukas Mandl also expressed confidence, emphasising the importance of broadband expansion<\/a>, as only adequate infrastructure will keep us competitive.<\/span><\/span>Mandl and Nehammer discussed the challenges facing the labour market in the age of digitalisation, moderated by Philipp Stephan Jauernik<\/a> (Federal Chairman of the Paneuropa Youth Austria<\/a>). Both agreed: there will be neither mass unemployment nor a land of milk and honey utopia. <\/p>\n

Both sides also made a clear commitment to European integration and deeper cooperation in some areas, but also to greater subsidiarity and a clearer division of tasks. A task must be carried out where it can be done best \u2013 and this must also be easily understandable for the voter. <\/p>\n

The event took place at the invitation of the WStV \u2013 Vienna City Association of the MKV<\/a> in cooperation with the Paneuropa Movement Austria<\/a>. K\u00d6StV Rudolfina<\/a> kindly served as host. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
