Yesterday, our youth chairman Philipp Stephan Jauernik was elected to the board of the Austrian-Kosovar Friendship Society (KFAT).

In 2008, Austria was among the first states to recognise the sovereignty of Kosovo. Today, the ties between our nations remain remarkably close – for Austrian investors, Kosovo is an increasingly fertile ground; reforms are being implemented continuously, educational standards are rising, and numerous other sectors are prospering. The Friendship Society itself has already implemented several successful projects in its first year of existence alone.

Jauernik and KFAT President Lukas Mandl (who is also a member of the Paneuropa Movement Austria) expressed their hope that this even more intensive cooperation will serve both nations well and further the Paneuropean ideal itself.
