“The entire European question culminates in an either/or: War or peace! Anarchy or organization! Arms race or disarmament! Competition or cooperation! Collapse or union!” Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi

Graf Richard Nikolaus von Coudenhove-Kalergi

Today, the Paneuropean Movement is a non-partisan organization recognized and esteemed across all political camps. It is the oldest European unification movement and, throughout its history, has repeatedly provided decisive impetus for Europe’s unity.

European politics must not be limited merely to a pragmatic continuation of the status quo, but must represent genuine progress toward the political, economic, and cultural unification of Europe. The Paneuropean Movement constantly contributes to developing Europe from an improved customs union into a union capable of acting in global politics—one that represents more than just the sum of its member states based on the lowest common denominator.

“The further we push the borders of freedom to the East, the more secure the center becomes.” Otto von Habsburg

For a strong Europe

Global political and economic conditions and challenges require clear European answers. Only a Europe acting in concert, a strong European Union, can preserve Europe from a final departure from the stage of world politics.
