Karl von Habsburg officially recovered from Corona

I have just received the notice lifting my quarantine following a negative Corona test. After nearly three weeks since being infected with the Covid-19 virus, I am now officially healthy again.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who sent me well wishes through various channels. Even though my home quarantine has been lifted, this is not a return to normal life for me either. The situation makes it necessary to stay at home. This is the best way to curb the further spread of the virus.

In all organisations in Austria where I hold a leadership position, events for the next two months have been cancelled. This includes the VI. Otto von Habsburg Symposium, which was to be dedicated to the theme of ‘Freedom’.

Now we must exercise responsibility in freedom, look after ourselves and thus our fellow human beings, and stay at home.
