Media report on the symposium SYMPOSIUM “CHRIST AND POLITICS”
On 14 November, a symposium entitled “Christ and Politics” was held at the Vienna Curhaus to mark the tenth anniversary of the death of Vincenz Liechtenstein. The hosts included the Paneuropa Movement Austria and the Young European Student Initiative “Jes”, which Liechtenstein had founded in 1974.
The focus was on the life and work of the multi-talented politician from Styria, who passed away far too soon. Speakers included Liechtenstein’s cousin and President of the Paneuropa Movement Austria, Karl von Habsburg, as well as Members of the National Council Dr Gudrun Kugler and Dr Reinhold Lopatka, Member of the European Parliament and Paneuropean Mag. Lukas Mandl, and the Procurator of the European Order of Saint George, Vinzenz Stimpfl-Abele. The celebrant and preacher of the memorial mass was Austria’s Family Bishop Klaus Küng.
A short report on this appears in the 1/2018 issue of the magazine “Paneuropa”, which can also be read here.
The renowned German weekly newspaper “Die Tagespost” published a detailed report:
