Rainhard Kloucek

Paneuropa is all of Europe. This principle also applies to Great Britain, which is currently conducting withdrawal negotiations with the EU. All the more, it must be in Paneuropa’s interest to strengthen pro-European forces in the United Kingdom. Therefore, the Paneuropa Movement Austria has decided to appoint Lord Watson of Richmond as Paneuropa Ambassador to the United Kingdom. The certificate was presented during a small ceremony of the Order of St. George by Gabriela Stimpfl-Abele, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Paneuropa Movement Austria, and Secretary General Rainhard Kloucek. In his acceptance speech, Lord Watson pledged to define this appointment as a mandate for action, and referred to the historical relationship between Paneuropa founder Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi and Winston Churchill, who was among Britain’s first Paneuropeans in the 1930s.
